THE MEWS

At Beach Architects, we approach multi-unit residential design with a focus on rhythmic form and refined materiality. The Mews represent a contemporary reimagining of the classic gabled silhouette, designed to create a striking yet harmonious street presence that elevates the surrounding urban fabric.

To create depth and visual interest, we incorporated deeply recessed balconies and sleek, dark-framed fenestration that punch through the light metal cladding. These deliberate setbacks articulate the facade while providing sheltered, private outdoor living spaces for the residents. During the twilight hours, these recesses allow the warm interior lighting to glow invitingly. Subtle, functional details, such as the exposed downpipes and minimalist window awnings, add a layer of practical, industrial-inspired refinement to the crisp geometry.
